One Thing with Dr. Adam Rinde

One of my favorite sayings in life is " As above , so below" . This can certainly apply to the skin disorders.  As we learn more about skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and acne we are seeing that that deeper in the body at the gut/immune interface there is likely a driver of inflammation. I speak about this on my most recent episode of my podcast with Lucy Mailing PhD.

Lucy Mailing is an MD/PhD student at the University of Illinois. She recently completed her PhD in Nutritional Sciences but continues to perform research on how diet and exercise impact the gut microbiome in states of health and disease. She has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles related to the microbiome and health and was recently named an Emerging Leader in Nutritional Sciences by the American Society for Nutrition.

Lucy has also been as staff research associate for Kresser Institute for four years and writes about evidence-based gut health on her blog, www.NGmedicine.com. She currently plans to continue her training and begin her MD at the University of Illinois in 2020 after a year dedicated to her blog and the launch of a gut-related startup.
